All five of NFL.com’s experts picked the Ravens, the Rams and the Seahawks in Week 6. All three lost. The Doctor is filing the paperwork.

Exhibit A: Ravens Without Lamar, Experts With Confidence

Jeremy, Brooke, Gennaro, Bobby and Dan all picked Baltimore at Cleveland, and so did CBS’s Jordan Dajani and Jared Dubin. Lamar Jackson was out with an ankle injury and Tyler Huntley started. The Browns won 13-10 when Deshaun Watson hit Jerry Jeudy for 33 yards on the final snap and Szmyt kicked the winning field goal. Seven picks, seven misses.

Exhibit B: The Rams Were Supposed to Win by Two Touchdowns

All five NFL.com experts took the Rams at home over Arizona, with predicted margins from 10 to 22 points. The Cardinals won 18-16 at SoFi Stadium. Chad Ryland kicked six field goals, including the winner.

Exhibit C: The Defending Champs Lost on Thursday Night

All five NFL.com experts picked Seattle at Denver. The Broncos won 17-14 in overtime after Ja’Quan McMillian intercepted Sam Darnold and Wil Lutz hit a 53-yard field goal. Seattle had erased an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit to force the extra period, which makes it a near miss and a miss all the same.

Clean Bill of Health

All five NFL.com experts took Carolina at Philadelphia, and the Panthers won 25-14 with Jalen Hurts out. Four of the five had Green Bay over Dallas, and the Packers won 23-13. Only Bobby took the Cowboys. Gennaro gets a chart note too. He was the lone NFL.com expert to pick the Titans at Indianapolis, and Tennessee came back from 13-0 at halftime to win 26-20.

This Week’s Trend: Unanimous Is Not a Diagnosis

Three full-panel locks fell in one week, and the Ravens pick went out with its starting quarterback sidelined. Monday night’s Commanders-49ers game hasn’t kicked off. All five NFL.com experts took San Francisco, so that chart stays open until next week.

Fantasy Tip

“Your waiver wire is your second draft. The best managers don’t stop working their roster after Week 1 — they’re active in it every single week.”
