Update, Oct. 30, 2026: Aaron Jones Sr. practiced fully Friday and has no designation for Week 8 (NBC Sports, Yahoo Sports), and A.J. Brown missed Thursday and Friday and is questionable (Patriots.com). Jones plays, so Jordan Mason is in a committee this week, and Brown is a sit if you have a comparable WR3, though we still hold him. Every final Week 8 status is in Friday Rounds. The analysis below is from Thursday, Oct. 29.
Published Thursday, October 29, 2026, before Panthers-Packers kickoff.
Trade Rx reads this week’s buy-low and sell-high columns, checks every name against usage and the official injury reports, then picks five players to buy and five to sell. This week we read FantasyPros’ buy-low and sell-high panel, Jim Moorman’s buy, sell or hold column at FantasyPros, The Fantasy Footballers’ trade targets, Pro Football Network, Fantasy Six Pack and Everett Cook’s USA Today column on Yahoo Sports.
Calls are built for half-PPR, with notes where PPR changes the answer. Each player gets a suggested trade price, which is a starting point for an offer, not a rule. Houston, New Orleans, the Giants and San Francisco are on bye, per NFL.com. Carolina plays at Green Bay tonight at 5:15 p.m. Pacific on Prime Video, according to ESPN and FBSchedules, so any deal involving a Panther or a Packer has to close before then.
Buy Low
1. Jordan Mason, RB, Minnesota Vikings
Week 8: at DET | Price: Woody Marks or Rachaad White
Symptoms: Mason came off injured reserve in Week 7 and ran 15 times for 68 yards with no catches, good for 6.8 PPR points, according to Pro Football Network and Fantasy Six Pack. That box score keeps his price down.
Diagnosis: Moorman has Mason at 52% of Minnesota’s Week 7 carries to 28% for Aaron Jones Sr., in his FantasyPros column. Jones left that game with a knee injury and did not practice Wednesday, per the NFL.com injury report. Kevin O’Connell called him day to day, according to Vikings.com. Mason is not on the report.
Consensus check: Widely backed. Kyle Zeigler on the FantasyPros panel, Pro Football Network and Fantasy Six Pack all say buy, and Moorman names Mason as a return for Jones.
Prescription: Zeigler would send Marks or White. We bought Marks last week, and Houston is on bye, so Marks for Mason is the swap we would try first. Mason gains less in PPR, since he caught neither of his two targets.
2. Derrick Henry, RB, Baltimore Ravens
Week 8: at BUF | Price: Josh Jacobs
Symptoms: Henry ran 17 times for 45 yards and caught one pass for 4 yards in the loss to Cincinnati, per NBC Sports. Jay Henry Ocho, on the FantasyPros panel, counts 4.5 and 5.4 half-PPR points in his last two games, on 17 carries in each.
Diagnosis: Lamar Jackson missed the last three games with a sprained ankle. He was a full participant Wednesday for the first time since the injury, according to ESPN and BaltimoreRavens.com. Henry’s slump came with Tyler Huntley at quarterback, and the carries never went away.
Consensus check: Thin. Ocho is the one writer we read who lists him this week.
Prescription: Ocho would offer Jacobs and Jameson Williams together. Jacobs alone is our opening offer, and he is our No. 2 sell below. Jacobs plays tonight, so make the offer before 5:15 p.m. Pacific. Henry loses a little in PPR.
3. Michael Wilson, WR, Arizona Cardinals
Week 8: at DAL | Price: Tre Tucker
Symptoms: Wilson caught four of eight targets for 55 yards against Denver, per CBS Sports and NBC Sports. CBS notes he has topped 56 receiving yards in two of seven games.
Diagnosis: The volume is there. CBS says he has drawn at least seven targets in every game, and Ryan Linkletter, on the FantasyPros panel, has him at 66 targets and a 24.4% target share. Dallas allows the third-highest passer rating in the league, per NFL.com, which is why we named Wilson a start in Defensive Diagnosis. He was also limited Wednesday with a rib injury, per the Cardinals’ report and NFL.com.
Consensus check: Backed by two FantasyPros panelists, Linkletter and Adam Dove.
Prescription: Dove would offer Tucker, our No. 4 sell. Linkletter suggests Carnell Tate or Stefon Diggs. Check Friday’s report on the ribs before you send anything. Wilson is worth more in PPR.
4. Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Houston Texans
Week 8: bye | Price: Jaylen Waddle or a similar WR4
Symptoms: Harrison caught one of four targets against the Giants, a 6-yard touchdown, in his second game since the trade, according to The Fantasy Footballers’ news desk. Houston is on bye this week.
Diagnosis: Arizona traded him to Houston for a 2027 second-round pick, per NFL.com, so he has had two weeks to learn the offense. Moorman counts 17 routes and eight targets in those two games, a 47% target rate, in his FantasyPros column.
Consensus check: Backed by Mark Ringo on the FantasyPros panel and by Moorman.
Prescription: Ringo would trade Tucker, Wilson or Waddle. Wilson is a buy here, so offer Waddle, whom The Fantasy Footballers list as a sell. A bye week is when his manager is least likely to want him.
5. Isaiah Likely, TE, New York Giants
Week 8: bye | Price: Chig Okonkwo plus a bench piece
Symptoms: Likely caught two passes for 12 yards against Houston, according to Pro Football Network and Fantasy Six Pack, in J.J. McCarthy’s first start.
Diagnosis: Pro Football Network counts 24 catches for 259 yards and three touchdowns from Weeks 4 to 6. Moorman still has him as the TE2 on the season with a 25.6% target rate, in his FantasyPros column.
Consensus check: Backed by Pro Football Network and Fantasy Six Pack. Moorman says hold.
Prescription: We said sell Likely in last week’s Trade Rx because of the quarterback change, and that call worked. His price is lower now. Okonkwo, our No. 5 add in Free Agent Triage, plus a bench player is a fair offer. In PPR, he is worth a little more.
Sell High
1. Tony Pollard, RB, Tennessee Titans
Week 8: at CIN | Target return: Jonah Coleman or Jordan Mason
Symptoms: Pollard ran 25 times for 129 yards and three touchdowns and caught three passes for 26 yards against Cleveland, his first 100-yard game of the season, per TennesseeTitans.com.
Diagnosis: He had one touchdown in his first six games, according to Moorman, and never topped 80 rushing yards, per Cook. Pro Football Network says the Week 7 game was worth 36.5 fantasy points, close to the 39.4 he scored in the previous month combined. Tyjae Spears did not practice Wednesday with a knee injury, per TennesseeTitans.com and NFL.com, so Pollard’s workload looks safe for one more week, and that keeps his price high right now.
Consensus check: Near-unanimous. Six panelists on the FantasyPros panel, Moorman, Pro Football Network and Fantasy Six Pack say sell. Cook is the lone buy, betting Tennessee trades him to a contender.
Prescription: David Heilman and Ed Birdsall both target Coleman, our No. 1 add in Free Agent Triage. Mason, our top buy, also works. Sell this week.
2. Josh Jacobs, RB, Green Bay Packers
Week 8: vs. CAR (Thursday) | Target return: Derrick Henry
Symptoms: In his season debut against Detroit, Jacobs ran 11 times for 36 yards and caught five passes for 55 yards and a touchdown, according to Panthers.com and Fantasy Six Pack. That was 20.1 PPR points.
Diagnosis: The rushing line was 3.3 yards per carry, and the receiving touchdown carried the day. Jacobs missed Green Bay’s first five games on the commissioner’s exempt list, and the NFL has not closed its review of his case, so discipline is still possible, according to Athlon Sports. Fantasy Six Pack flags the same risk.
Consensus check: Thin. Fantasy Six Pack is the column that lists him, and it says to sell him at RB1 value.
Prescription: Offer him for Henry, our No. 2 buy. Green Bay is a 7-point favorite with a 45.5 total tonight, per ESPN. The deal has to close before kickoff at 5:15 p.m. Pacific.
3. Aaron Jones Sr., RB, Minnesota Vikings
Week 8: at DET | Target return: Rachaad White or Ollie Gordon II
Symptoms: Jones ran for 26 yards at 3.3 yards per carry in Week 7 before leaving with a knee injury, according to Yahoo Sports and Vikings.com.
Diagnosis: He did not practice Wednesday, per the NFL.com injury report, and Yahoo’s Mark Morales-Smith says the knee “is clearly not getting better.” Moorman has Mason at 52% of the Week 7 carries to 28% for Jones.
Consensus check: Backed by Moorman and Yahoo.
Prescription: Moorman’s list is Gordon, Marks, Mason or White. Sell before Friday’s game designation. If Jones is ruled out, his price drops again.
4. Tre Tucker, WR, Las Vegas Raiders
Week 8: at NYJ | Target return: Michael Wilson or Blake Corum
Symptoms: Tucker caught five of 12 targets for 103 yards and a touchdown in the 35-21 loss to the Rams, per FantasyPros. Over two games he has 10 catches for 200 yards and three touchdowns, according to Football Nation.
Diagnosis: NBC Sports says the Week 7 production came in garbage time. Brock Bowers was limited Wednesday with a calf injury, per the Jets’ injury report and NFL.com, and a healthy Bowers takes targets from everyone else in that offense.
Consensus check: Backed by Shaun Ireland and Wolf Trelles-Heard on the FantasyPros panel.
Prescription: Trelles-Heard suggests Corum or Sam LaPorta. Wilson, our No. 3 buy, has steadier volume. PPR does not change the call.
5. Quinshon Judkins, RB, Cleveland Browns
Week 8: at PIT | Target return: Tucker Kraft or Jameson Williams
Symptoms: Back from an ankle injury, Judkins ran 17 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the 27-24 win over Tennessee, according to The Fantasy Footballers’ news desk. Jeremy Shulman, on the FantasyPros panel, notes it was a PPR RB3 week.
Diagnosis: Dylan Sampson returned in the same game and took nine touches on 32 snaps to 37 for Judkins, per DraftKings Network and The Fantasy Footballers. We listed Sampson as a PPR flex in Free Agent Triage. Sampson was limited Wednesday with a knee injury, per NFL.com.
Consensus check: Thin. Shulman is the writer we read who lists him.
Prescription: Shulman targets Williams, Justin Jefferson or Kraft. Two touchdowns on 17 carries will not repeat every week, and he caught one pass, so sell harder in PPR.
Where the Doctor Disagrees
Christian Watson, WR, Packers: Moorman says sell, citing a 21% target share to 26% for Matthew Golden. We side with Fantasy Six Pack, which is buying. Watson ranks sixth in the NFL in receiving yards, per Panthers.com, and Golden is questionable tonight with shoulder and foot injuries, according to NFL.com and Yahoo Sports. Hold him, or buy him from a manager who read that column. Any deal has to close before 5:15 p.m. Pacific.
Brock Purdy, QB, 49ers: Pro Football Network and Fantasy Six Pack say buy after he threw for 288 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Atlanta. We said sell last week, and that call stands. San Francisco is on bye, and Moorman expects Mike Evans to miss more time. Don’t buy him.
A.J. Brown, WR, Patriots: Pro Football Network says sell, counting nine catches for 101 yards and no touchdowns in three games. Avery Thrasher, on the FantasyPros panel, has him at 16 targets and 46% of New England’s air yards over two weeks. We bought him last week and keep him. He was limited Wednesday, per NFL.com, and Miami allows the league’s worst passer rating, per NFL.com.
